ATLANTA -- Freddie Freeman and Atlantas hitters made certain the end of a long winning streak would not be followed by a new streak of offensive futility. Freeman hit a three-run homer, Jason Heyward had four hits and the Braves beat the Miami Marlins 9-4 on Sunday. The Braves took two of three in the series. Their 14-game winning streak ended in a 1-0 loss to the Marlins on Saturday night. Freeman said it was important to move past the shutout loss. "When you win 14 in a row, its always a good thing and then the next thing you know you get shut out," Freeman said. "You dont want that to keep going. We wanted to come out here and get some runs on the board early." B.J. Upton drove in the go-ahead run with a sacrifice fly and Chris Johnson hit a two-run double in the four-run seventh inning that broke open a tie game. Evan Gattis had three hits, including his run-scoring double in the seventh. Mike Minor (12-5) gave up four runs on six hits and one walk in seven innings, ended a streak of six straight starts with no more than two earned runs allowed. The Braves trailed 3-0 in the second inning before taking their 38th comeback win of the season, the most in the majors. The Texas Rangers began Sundays games second in the majors with 36 come-from-behind wins. "Theres a lot of trust in our guys," Freeman said. "We never panic. We lead the league in coming back. I think thats just a testament to our team." Braves outfielder Justin Upton left the game in the fifth inning with cramping in his left hamstring. Manager Fredi Gonzalez said its the second time this season Upton has had the problem. "Its just a cramp that he gets every once in a while," Gonzalez said. "Weve got to figure out a way to keep him on the field without cramping." The Marlins have lost seven of eight. Right-hander Henderson Alvarez gave up four runs on seven hits and a walk in six innings. "I thought Henderson was good," said Marlins manager Mike Redmond. "We came out and scored those runs early and we couldnt shut them down. ... Thats a tough lineup to plow through." The game was tied at 4 when pinch-hitter Joey Terdoslavich replaced Minor in the seventh. Dan Jennings (1-3) walked Terdoslavich to start the Braves four-run inning. Heyward singled and Terdoslavich scored the go-ahead run on a line drive to left field by B.J. Upton off A.J. Ramos. Following Ramos intentional walk to Freeman, Gattis hit a run-scoring double and Johnson drove in two runs with a double over Giancarlo Stanton in right field. Stanton appeared to lose the ball in the sun. "That seventh inning, we just couldnt stop them," Redmond said. "We didnt execute some pitches and theyve got a lot of weapons over there. And as you can see, they have the ability to do some damage with the middle of their order and we couldnt stop them. Couldnt get them out." Justin Upton left the game after running to first base on an unsuccessful sacrifice bunt attempt in the fifth inning. Marlins catcher Koyie Hill threw out Minor, who was not expecting the bunt, at third base as Upton reached on the fielders choice. B.J. Upton replaced his brother as a pinch-runner. Freeman followed with his three-run homer that gave Atlanta a 4-3 lead. Alvarez escaped a bases-loaded jam in the fourth. Freeman led off with a double and moved to third on an infield hit by Gattis. With one out, Dan Uggla walked to load the bases, but the inning ended on Andrelton Simmons fly ball to shallow right field and Jordan Schafers groundout. The Marlins took a 3-0 lead in the second. Ed Lucas doubled and scored on a single by Jake Marisnick. Hill singled before Alvarez lined a two-run double over Justin Upton in left field. China NFL Jerseys . - The Oakland Raiders re-signed offensive lineman Khalif Barnes on Friday. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have played much of their best football on the road this season, and seek to extend their unlikely win streak to four games Sunday as they travel to face the San Diego Chargers. That means trying to contain the NFLs No. 4 scoring offense and No. 5 passing game, led by quarterback Philip Rivers, who has 23 touchdowns despite missing some of his top targets this year. What I see on film is a top-flight NFL quarterback, Bucs coach Dirk Koetter said. This guys a heck of a player, very accurate, great anticipation, full command of their system, gets them in the right play, a lot of calls at the line of scrimmage, incredible touch, tough as nails. That guys a really good player.Tampa Bay (6-5) is still alive for the postseason, one game back of NFC South-leading Atlanta and a half-game behind Washington for the NFCs second wild card. San Diego (5-6) is in a tougher position, stuck at the bottom of the AFC West -- perhaps the best division in football -- and two games behind the AFCs last wild card. The Chargers could easily be taken as being better than their record -- theyve led in all six of their losses, and in the second half of five of them. They led the Chiefs 21-3 at one point, led the Saints by 13 with five minutes to play, but find themselves as the worst second-half defense in the NFL, giving up 16 points per game. The record is what it is. You cant do anything about it, San Diego head coach Mike McCoy said. Theres some games there that you wish you wouldve made a play or two here and there or somewhere during the game, so you didnt put yourself in that opportunity. So, you cant worry about that now and thats one thing I think our players and coaches have done a great job of.You go week-to-week in this business and you have a short memory, so you move on to the next game, we either win or lose. A majority of our games, besides one, have all been decided by eight points or less, so its a very competitive league and theres a great balance, so youve got to go out there and do what you can week-in and week-out and ffind a way to win the game.ddddddddddddhe Bucs pulled off two straight upset wins, first at Kansas City and Sunday at home against Seattle as their defense continues a remarkable turnaround. After only two takeaways in the first four games of the season -- a 1/3 start for Tampa Bay -- the Bucs recorded 18 takeaways in their last seven, and have a 5-2 mark to show for it.The Chiefs Alex Smith had only three interceptions before the Bucs got a pick in the end zone two weeks ago and Seattles Russell Wilson threw two all season before the Bucs intercepted him twice Sunday. So the prospect of facing a San Diego team that leads the NFL with 23 turnovers -- 12 interceptions by Rivers and 11 fumbles, tying for the NFL lead there as well -- seems exciting.Defensively speaking, knowing some of the guys on the staff there and how they coach, with the types of coaches they are, the success theyve had at other places, with a lot of talented players, McCoy said. Having played against (cornerback Brent) Grimes before in the past, the way he plays the game. A younger player in (cornerback Vernon) Hargreaves, a guy we watched and really liked coming out. (Lavonte) David at linebacker, theyve got a lot of talented players. Up front, the way theyve gotten after the quarterback, things like that. So, its a talented football team. The Bucs havent played at Qualcomm Stadium in 12 years as they return to the site of their Super Bowl championship after the 2002 season, hoping for more of the same kind of defense that has gotten them to three straight wins, holding opponents to an NFL-low 10.7 points per game in that span.Success and confidence seem to go together, Koetter said. Its funny how that works and our Ds playing with a lot of confidence right now. But your confidence can be shaken quickly when you start watching San Diegos offense on tape because theyve got weapons, theyve got a quarterback, they move the ball on everybody. ' ' '
