MIAMI -- Richie Incognito says Jonathan Martin reached out to him several times in the aftermath of the bullying scandal that sabotaged the Miami Dolphins 2013 season, but Incognito has no interest in talking. The two were teammates in the Dolphins offensive line and at the center of the scandal.Incognito is now a guard for the Buffalo Bills, who play the Dolphins on Sunday. In a conference call Wednesday with the South Florida media, Incognito said he has kept in touch with Dolphins players and Joe Philbin, who was their coach then. But he never patched up differences with Martin, once a close friend.Zero conversation with Jonathan Martin, Incognito said. He has reached out and tried to speak a few times, but I have nothing to say.Martin retired last year. He posted on Facebook that difficulties in the profession led him to attempt suicide multiple times. An NFL investigation found that Incognito and two teammates engaged in persistent harassment directed at Martin, who left the team midseason in 2013. Incognito was suspended for the final eight games and sat out the 2014 season before joining the Bills.Incognito described the Dolphins situation as surreal and a circus. The whole incident went down (and) Im a pariah in the national media and basically turned radioactive there for a few months, he said. Jonathan and I were close friends. I cared about him. If anybody was there for Jonathan, it was me. And Jonathan had his troubles. He had his demons, like we all do. He left for whatever reason and he handled it the way he did, and then really the story kind of takes on a life of its own.As for Incognitos role in the scandal?Im not saying I was a saint, he said, but I sleep well at night knowing what I did.---AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and http://twitter.com/AP-NFLBalenciaga Triple s Wholesale . Thats up 11 from last year, but this level of futility -- Chicago has qualified for the postseason just five times since Mike Ditka was fired in the early 1990s -- puts them on the level of Cleveland or Jacksonville. The Bears promised to usher in a new era of hope when they hired general manager Ryan Pace and head coach John Fox after the Marc Trestman debacle. So far though, both have failed to deliver anything tangible for Chicago sports fans to embrace.Whats goodChicago skyrocketed 35 spots to No. 46 overall in coaching, showing that fans were on board with Foxs hiring. But staying in the top half of teams could prove difficult. Fox has won a lot of games in the NFL but accomplished almost nothing in Chicago. And while hes surrounded by experienced assistants -- most notably veteran defensive coordinator Vic Fangio -- Chicago lost offensive coordinator Adam Gase to Miami in the offseason, and that is bound to hurt them in the 2017 rankings.Whats badThe Bears rank 111th in affordability and bang forr the buck.dddddddddddd. Ticket prices at Soldier Field are among the highest in the NFL -- only the Patriots, the 49ers, the Cowboys and the Giants charge more. The problem is that, unlike some of those teams, the Bears rarely reward the home fans. Under Fox, Chicago went 1-7 at Soldier Field in 2015. Why pay such expensive ticket prices if the team is bound to lose? That is the dilemma Chicagoans struggle with when it comes to the Bears. Most eventually choose to attend games at Soldier Field, but the payoff is minimal -- and often painful.Whats newThe Bears experienced slight bumps in players (up 11 spots to No. 105) and ownership (up nine, to No. 87), likely, in part, thanks to the new hirings. Again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Since George McCaskey assumed the title of team chairman in 2011, the Bears have been wildly unstable, firing two head coaches (Lovie Smith, Trestman) and two general managers (Jerry Angelo, Phil Emery). The Bears have not played in a playoff game over the span. But thanks to players like Jordan Howard and Kevin White, the Bears did successfully transform the roster from one on the leagues oldest to one of the youngest. Now fans just hope they can win more than six games in 2016.Next: Tennessee Titans?| Full rankings ' ' '
