The Vancouver Canucks are shopping their goalie once again. This time, however, it is Cory Schneiders name that is the topic of discussion. TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger reported Saturday morning that his sources indicate the Canucks are considering moving their 27-year-old netminder and that the Edmonton Oilers might well be in on the action. Dreger continued that the talks may be a contingency plan in the event the team is unable to move Roberto Luongo, who has been the subject of trade rumours for more than a year. The asking price is believed to start with a first round draft pick and a prospect, according to Dreger, though he added that the talks may simply believed to be a way to gauge Schneiders worth on the open market. Schneider posted a 17-9-4 record in 30 regular season games with the Canucks last season, his first in Vancouver earning the majority of the teams starts.
