DENVER -- Two surging teams will meet when the Colorado Rockies and Los Angeles Dodgers begin a three-game series Tuesday at Coors Field.The Rockies are coming off a 5-2 road trip in which they played Baltimore and the New York Mets. Colorado has won nine of its past 11 games and is 12-5 in the second half. He has pitched seven innings in his past three starts, going 2-0 with an 0.86 ERA in those games. Gray, who leads the team with 19 quality starts, is 4-0 with a 4.22 ERA in eight starts this season at Coors Field. He hasnt lost since July 3 when he gave up three runs to the Dodgers in six innings at Los Angeles, and the Rockies fell 4-1.Rockies left fielder David Dahl will make his Coors Field debut Tuesday after hitting .370 (10-for-27) in his first seven games in the majors with two homers, three RBI and six runs scored.Rockies shortstop Trevor Story hopes to play. Andrew Cashner pitched 6 2-3 strong innings and Kyle Blanks and Will Venable homered off Dan Haren to lead the Padres to a 13-4 victory Sunday and a split of their four-game series. "Its huge. They have probably one of the best rotations in baseball, let alone lineups," Cashner said. "Thats a really, really good team over there. After we lost the first two we definitely played better the last two games." After Eric Stults outpitched Jordan Zimmermann on Saturday night, the Padres got to Haren early on Sunday. The Padres tied their season high in runs and their 15 hits against four Nationals pitchers were two short of their season high. "It was good to bounce back in beating Zimmermann, who is arguably the best pitcher in the National League right now. That was a big win last night," San Diego manager Bud Black said. "Then to come back today against Haren, whos a great competitor. We got to him early and got him there in the middle part of the game with a couple big swings. Good for our guys. It was a good win." San Diegos Yonder Alonso homered off Drew Storen leading off the eighth to finish 3 for 4 with two RBIs and three runs scored. It was his sixth homer.
