FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. - Atlanta Falcons coach Dan Quinn said wide receiver Julio Jones, who is dealing with turf toe, is a game-time decision for Sundays road matchup with the Los Angeles Rams, but Quinn added that he anticipates that Jones will play.Jones is listed as questionable on the injury report. He did not practice all week but did participate in walkthroughs. Jones jogged through some light drills without a helmet at the start of Fridays practice.Well do some stuff at the walkthrough (Saturday), and then Sunday well go out and let him run some full-speed routes, go through the process, Quinn said after Fridays practice. Its not the catching. Just want to see the full-speed routes. Thats what the plan is. His intent is to go and play. Were anticipating that, but well see where it goes on Sunday morning.Jones has dealt with ankle, calf, knee and shoulder injuries this season without missing a game. He suffered turf toe in this past Sundays 29-28 home loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.Medical experts say the mildest case of turf toe typically requires one to four weeks of recovery.Jones leads the NFL with 1,253 receiving yards on 72 catches with five touchdowns.Quinn did rule out Jones fellow wide receiver Mohamed Sanu with a groin strain and defensive end Adrian Clayborn coming off knee surgery, but the coach sounded optimistic about left tackle Jake Matthews playing coming off a knee sprain. Matthews is listed as questionable, as is backup safety Robenson Therezie (ankle).Jake practiced today and looked really good, Quinn said. The potential of playing without Jones and Sanu means the Falcons will need players such as Taylor Gabriel, Justin Hardy?and Aldrick Robinson to step up at wide receiver for quarterback Matt Ryan. The Falcons also promoted Nick Williams from the practice squad Friday, a move directly related to Sanus status. The 7-5 Falcons are tied atop the NFC South with Tampa Bay with four games remaining. The Buccaneers host the New Orleans Saints (5-7) Sunday.Meghan Klingenberg Jersey . Happ got hit hard the last time he faced Detroit. This time around, he tamed the Tigers with an effective high fastball.Happ and two relievers combined on a seven-hit shutout, Edwin Encarnacion hit a three-run home run and the Toronto Blue Jays extended their season-high winning streak to seven games with a 6-0 victory over Detroit on Friday night.Happ did an excellent job against us, Tigers manager Brad Ausmus said. We have a lot of trouble with him.In his final start before the All-Star break, Happ (12-3) matched his career-high in wins by giving up six hits, striking out nine and walking none in 5 2/3 innings. The left-hander, who went 12-4 for Philadelphia in 2009, has won six consecutive starts. Its definitely nice, Happ said of his 12th victory. Its a testament to the team and our bullpen. I feel good about how this first half has gone.Happ allowed six runs in five innings in an 11-0 defeat at Comerica Park on June 6. He hasnt lost since. He did make a few adjustments, Detroits James McCann said. He has won just once in seven starts. My command wasnt really that great tonight, Pelfrey said. I was pretty excited to pitch and I know how good of a lineup that is so I knew I had to bring it. I probably had too much adrenaline.Torontos only run against Pelfrey came in the fifth. Darwin Barney hit a leadoff double, advanced on Ezequiel Carreras single and scored when Josh Donaldson grounded into a double play. The Blue Jays added four more in the seventh against relievers Kyle Ryan and Bobby Parnell. Kevin Pillar hit an RBI double off Ryan, who left after walking Carrera. Parnell came on and got DDonaldson to pop out before Encarnacion drilled his 23rd home run, a blast into the center field party deck.ddddddddddddEddie is having a heck of a year, manager John Gibbons said.
