Scott turned a lap of 177.807 mph to earn his second pole of the season and No. 4 for his career. He won his first Nationwide Series pole at Chicagoland on Sept. 17, 2011. "Guys worked hard, weve got a good setup in this thing," Scott said. "I was really happy with it in the long run, and its nice to have clean air here when you start up front. So hopefully everything will play into our favour and well be able to go to Victory Lane." Scott was followed by Richard Childress Racing teammate Ty Dillon at 177.643. It will be Dillons 10th top-10 start of the year. "It can be a great thing," Scott said. "We can work together. We can get cleared off the back and hopefully work and do a little drafting in the first couple laps to get a little separation and then we can settle in and ride." Chase Elliott, Erik Jones and Sprint Cup regular Kasey Kahne round out the top five. Kyle Larson, another Sprint Cup regular, qualified in the 12th position. The second-seeded Spaniard and two-time Wimbledon champion, however, secured a spot in the fourth round by rallying for a 6-7 (4-7), 6-1, 6-1, 6-1 win. Nadal sent a backhand long, giving an opening set that featured no break points to Kukushkin, who had won only seven games in two previous matches against Nadal. The man from Kazakhstan erased the matchs first break point in the fourth game of the second set, but a long forehand gave Nadal a second break chance and he converted with a strong return on a second serve to go up 3-1.
