When the first Week 11 inactives were released Sunday, the smattering of defensive players and lineman were a heartening set of names, at least for fantasy purposes, relatively free of impact pass-catchers and running backs. In retrospect, things were a little too quiet.Week 11 ended with fantasy teams tattered and torn, after injuries to A.J. Green, T.J. Yeldon, C.J. Prosise, LeSean McCoy, Ryan Mathews, Darren Sproles, Robert Woods, Giovani Bernard and Zach Miller. Throw in a concussion to Mark Ingram on Thursday night and the fantasy landscape is now what experts like to call a mess.A VERY EARLY LOOK AT THE WAIVER WIREGreens injury leaves the door open for rookie Tyler Boyd and veteran Brandon LaFell to assume larger roles in the offense. Boyd tied a career high with eight targets Sunday after Greens first-quarter exit. He also caught his first career touchdown pass. LaFell, meanwhile, has four touchdowns on the season but just two games with more than 75 receiving yards. While there isnt a clear-cut choice here, Boyd has intriguing upside and the Bengals -- with just three wins -- may want to see what their first-round pick is capable of.As far as running backs go, theres a bit of a disappointing trend for the fantasy owner looking to make waiver wire moves -- many of the injured backs were mired in time shares. Chris Ivory, Thomas Rawls, and Jeremy Hill are going to see big jumps in value, but theyre owned in most leagues. And while LeSean McCoy had thumb surgery, he could still play in Week 12.A fantasy players most attractive option in sifting through the replacement backs is probably Wendell Smallwood (owned in 9 percent of CBSSports.com leagues), who would need both Mathews and Sproles to miss significant time to have an impact -- a gamble worth taking with fantasy seasons on the line. According to Pro Football Focus Nathan Jahnke, Smallwood out-snapped fellow running back Kenjon Barner, 38-18, on Sunday.THEO RIDDICK: FANTASY STUD?Theo Riddick (eight receptions for 70 yards in Week 11) has already set career highs in touchdowns (four), rushing yards (310), and rushing attempts (79). Barring injury, hell likely surpass highs in targets, receptions, receiving yards, and total yards by seasons end.Riddick has at least 75 total yards in his last three games And in point-per-reception formats, his 24 targets and 17 receptions make him an even more valuable piece of a fantasy backfield. Riddicks next two games -- against Minnesota and New Orleans -- should yield more of the same, as both teams give up 45 receiving yards or more per game to opposing backs (both falling in the bottom 10 in the NFL for that stat). One thing to look out for, however -- Riddick hurt a hand in the first half of the game Sunday. With a traditional Thanksgiving game on deck, a short week for an injured Riddick could make Dwayne Washington a decent speculative pickup.MISCELLANEOUS- With Bills receiver Robert Woods going down, theres a small chance his replacement could be ... Sammy Watkins, who will have a CT scan on his foot Tuesday. The Bills may be cautious rushing Watkins back (after the McCoy debacle earlier this season), but if hes healthy and good to go, it might be worth checking waiver wires for availability.- He carries an incredible amount of risk, but Percy Harvin had the second-most targets (four) and played the second-most snaps (46) among Bills receivers on Sunday.- At this point int he season, backup running backs must be rostered to combat injuries. One name to consider: newly-minted backup Denard Robinson, the No. 2 in Jacksonville, behind an oft-injured Chris Ivory in an offense that has featured both backs in the game plan since Nathaniel Hackett took over as offensive coordinator. Robinson averaged 4.2 yards per carry in 2014-2015, with 44 receptions on 61 targets over two seasons as the sometimes-starter for the Jags.-Tajae Sharpe has a pair of 68 yard, one-touchdown games in his last two. He also has a wild matchup schedule coming up, with games against the Bears (third-most yards allowed to wide receivers), Broncos (fewest), and Chiefs (most).- This years Thanksgiving games are: Minnesota at Detroit, 12:30 p.m. Eastern; Washington at Dallas, 4:30 p.m. Eastern; Pittsburgh at Indianapolis, 8:30 p.m. Eastern.---This column was provided to The Associated Press by the Fantasy Sports Network, http://FNTSY.comCheap Air Jordan 1 Wholesale . He will miss league matches against Chelsea on Monday and West Ham on Dec. Graeme McDowell didnt expect to get an early jump on his defense of the OHL Classic at Mayakoba, but when he missed the cut last week in Las Vegas he headed south to the eastern shores of Mexico with some work to do and some needed downtime on the beach to enjoy.McDowell will be among the field of 132 players trying to keep their focus on the golf while competing in Playa del Carmen, Mexicos version of a Riviera of sun, surf and sand.G-Mac came to this tournament last year looking to put a charge in his season and left with a win that carried huge momentum for the rest of the year.It was a very important victory for me and it opened up some nice doors for me and put me in some good positions in the FedExCup race, McDowell told a pre-tournament press conference on Tuesday. This time of the year is becoming very important for the PGA Tour and thats why we continue to see more and more players playing at this time of the year. Its so important that they get off to a fast start with so many great players now and it being so difficult to win.McDowell, of Northern Ireland, held the 36-hole lead at last years tournament but found himself trailing the lead by three strokes entering the final round. Then a 5-under 66 in the fourth round, including an eight-foot birdie putt on the last hole, pushed him to 18-under 266 and into sudden-death with Jason Bohn and Russell Knox.On the first extra hole, again No. 18, he hit a brilliant approach shot with a 5-iron from about 200 yards to within three feet for a birdie to turn back Knox and Bohn. That gave McDowell, who won the 2010 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach, his third career PGA Tour victory and first since the 2013 RBC Heritage. It was great to reconfirm to myself that when I put my mind to it, I can still compete at the highest level, McDowell said. I suppose Im disappointed that I havent really kicked on in 2016 with that momentum, but this year has been a funny one. When its been good, its been really good; when its been bad, Ive been going home on Friday nights. The OHL Classic at Mayakoba is the sixth event in the PGA Tours wraparound schedule that bridges two years with 47 official events in 43 weeks. That includes seven events during the fall of 2016 which will award FedExCup points. After a breaak, the season will resume in January with the traditional swing through Hawaii before moving to the West Coast.ddddddddddddEl Camaleon Golf Club at the Mayakoba Resort is a Greg Norman-signature course. It will play as a 6,987-yard par-71 this week, with a routing that bends through three distinct landscapes -- mangrove jungles, limestone canals and oceanfront stretches of sand.Seven of the nine past champions of the OHL Classic at Mayakoba are in the field this week, including Charley Hoffman, Harris English, John Huh, Johnson Wagner and Brian Gay.Six Mexican golfers will also compete, led by Carlos Ortiz, a three-time winner and Player of the Year on the Web.com Tour in 2014.McDowell is one of seven major tournament winners in the field, joining Ernie Els, Angel Cabrera, Keegan Bradley, Stewart Cink, Jim Furyk and Webb Simpson.Furyk, who makes his first start of the season, said the course suits his game.Historically, I havent played much in the fall because I play so much during the rest of the year, but with my wrist injury and surgery I only played 14 events last season, Furyk said.Im fresh and I targeted coming here. I heard a lot of positives about the course here and the resort. I like the course and the greens roll pretty good. Its not overly long but you have to drive the ball in the fairways here. The OHL Classic at Mayakoba made golf history when it became the first PGA TOUR co-sanctioned event to ever be contested outside of the United States and Canada in February of 2007.To commemorate its 10-year anniversary, OHL and its founder Juan-Miguel Villar Mir increased the events purse by $800,010, taking the total to $7,000,010, the largest prize money distributed at any golf tournament to date in Latin America. The additional $10 dollars are designed to acknowledge the 10 years of the tournaments existence.Continuing a trend from past seasons, three of the first five winners this season (Justin Thomas, Hideki Matsuyama and Cody Gribble) were under the age of 30 at the time of their victories.Fourteen different winners under the age of 30 accounted for a total of 18 PGA Tour titles in 2015-16.
