Round one of TSN.cas 2013 Play of the Year Showdown keeps going with a battle between two stunning, selfless plays. Rick Nash and Alexander Semin create opportunity out of thin air with these head-shaking dishes. Will the rest of the POY entries be bested by one of these sweet passes? Semin comes up with a brilliant play for his POY nomination, creating opportunity out of what seemed like a broken play. With great vision, Semin picks up the puck to the right of the goalie and makes an incredible, no-look pass that you have to see to believe. The puck ends up right on the tape of Jiri Tlustys stick who pops it in the wide-open net with ease. Nashs POY entry is also an incredible play, with Nash showing off his strength, hands and vision all in one swift moment. Nash picks up the puck at the blue line and pushes into the offensive zone, making his move, he cuts back to the middle, absolutely embarrasses one Boston defender, eludes another and finally makes a mind-boggling pass that Carl Hagelin has no trouble depositing in the gaping goal.
